At the graduation ceremony for Faculty 8, the prize worth over €2,000, awarded by the Dr. Karl and Elisabeth Eisele Foundation for outstanding degrees in the teacher training programs in mathematics and physics, was presented for the second time.
The aim of the Dr. Karl and Elisabeth Eisele Foundation is the promotion of projects for intercultural understanding with a focus on France, as well as the support of activities that inspire young people for technical issues. The newly endowed prize is intended to strengthen the shortage subjects of mathematics and physics for secondary school teaching and to emphasize the special importance of school education in these subjects. The Dr. Karl and Elisabeth Eisele Foundation will offer the prize for a further three years and award it jointly with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.
The awards for the best teaching degrees in 2025 went to Simon Rehwald (B.A. Mathematics), who was recognized for his outstanding academic achievements and his thesis in mathematics. Ms. Laureen Dänzer (M.Ed. Mathematics and M.Ed. Physics) received the award for the best master's degree and for her master's thesis supervised by Prof. G. She presented her work in a short lecture.
Prof. Ronny Nawrodt (Dean of Studies for Physics Teacher Training) expressed his sincere thanks on behalf of Faculty 8 for the support and recognition of achievements by the Dr. Karl and Elisabeth Eisele Foundation.
