On Thursday, April 27, 2023, the nationwide Girls' Day took place, during which schoolgirls could get a taste of various companies. The Department of Mathematics was also represented with the workshop "Mathematische Basteleien" (mathematical crafts) for girls in grades 5 and 6, organized by Dr. Friederike Stoll. First, the girls folded individual modules, from which they then assembled regular geometric objects. A visit to the lecture hall was also not to be missed: They tested the microphone system in an empty lecture hall and then watched a lecture in progress. The three hours flew by. A big thank you goes to all the helpers who worked diligently on the project.
