There were two first places at the award ceremony for the mathematics and physics student competition, shared by Stiftsgymnasium Sindelfingen and İstanbul Erkek Lisesi. There were also three third places for teams from Mörike-Gymnasium Ludwigsburg, Eichendorffschule Kelkheim (Taunus) and Carl-Zeiss-Gymnasium Jena .
At the mathematics department's "Beat the mathematicians" game stand, visitors were able to compete against mathematicians in combinatorial games. They were able to find out how to play and win without making mistakes. This was very popular with players of all ages.
Topological puzzles, wrestling with the dice snake, throwing knots. Various puzzles from the mathematics department encouraged children to think, puzzle and discover.
