From 1 February 2025, Prof. Dr Martin Herdegen will join the Department of Mathematics at the University of Stuttgart. He will take over the professorship for Stochastics and Applications at the Institute of Stochastics and Applications.
Mr Herdegen's research focuses on financial mathematics and stochastic control theory. He is particularly interested to study equilibria on financial markets, portfolio optimisation with frictions, market making and risk measures.
In the coming summer semester, Mr Herdegen will offer the Bachelor lecture "Maß- und Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie" and a Hauptseminar on "Risk Measures".
The department welcomes Mr Herdegen and wishes him a good start in Stuttgart.
